Profile
Whether your age is 5 or 55, it’s not too late to start learning karate. Karate develops Strength, Stamina and Suppleness of the body. It also develops self-restrain, self-confidence and the ability to meet adverse situations with skill and confidence.
The Ballygunge Karate Institute is a member of the Japan Karate Association, the world’s largest karate organization. Its students can participate in State and National tournaments of the JKA India and International tournaments of the Japan Karate Association. Because politics has split the All India Karate-do Federation into several parts, we are abstaining from AIKF sponsored tournaments, until the matter is resolved. However, we do offer good, organized karate instruction, closely monitored by the JKA India.
